Branches pruned this year from roughly thirty year old cypress trees in Ara-dong, Jeju, hand-gathered without machinery, steam-distilled for two hours with the Jeju Resource Plant Research Institute. What remains after distillation is composted and returned to the forest. In this lotion it is the first ingredient, ahead of the plain water and the oils that carry it.
