The formula does not change: the same Jeju Hinoki Cypress water, plant derived cleansers, and fine cypress grain. One pouch fills the 450 mL bottle twice, with far less plastic than a new bottle.

The same water that fills the bottle. Branches pruned from roughly thirty year old cypress trees in Ara-dong, Jeju, steam-distilled for two hours with the Jeju Resource Plant Research Institute, and what remains is composted back into the forest. It is the first ingredient in the refill, as it is in the bottle.
No sulfates.

How do I pour it without a mess?
Open the bottle, pour slowly, and leave a little room before you close it. Wipe the outside if any runs down, and do not mix formulas in one bottle. See Refill & reuse.
Is it the same formula as the bottle?
Yes. The refill is the same formula as the bottle, down to the fine cypress grain and the cypress note while you wash. Only the pouch and the size change.
How long does it last?
30 months unopened, and 12 months after opening. The refill shares the shelf life of the bottle.
