Hinok’s cornerstone ingredients—Jeju hinoki cypress water and oil—are extracted without harming a single tree. We collect only the leaves and slim branches that remain after routine pruning in cypress forests across Jeju Island. This upcycled hinoki essence then undergoes strict refinement at our Jeju plant before becoming a Hinok product.

To ensure anyone can verify what goes into our formulas, we disclose every step and ingredient with complete transparency. Hinok is certified Animal Test-Free and Vegan by PETA.

Because the characteristics of natural ingredients can vary with harvest timing and processing, Hinok conducts regular, systematic research on hinoki cypress in partnership with specialized institutes, centered around our in-house laboratory at the foot of Mt. Halla on Jeju.

Only after years of study—followed by accredited tests confirming non-irritation and outstanding efficacy—do we release a product, so you can use Hinok with complete confidence.

Believing that using well-made products for a long time is one of the best sustainable choices, we offer a five-year “Long Life Service” warranty on selected package components. To further own our plastic footprint, Hinok became the first Korean partner of rePurpose Global. Our contributions fund the collection and proper disposal of plastic waste in an amount equal to the plastic we use in production.
